D. 202 middle school musicians earn trip to regional music fest

Seventeen District 202 middle school student musicians have been selected for the 2018 Illinois Music Education Association District 9 Honor Band and Honor Choir.

Students auditioned for the prestigious regional event. They will participate in day-long rehearsals and perform at the ILMEA District Junior Band, Chorus and Orchestra Festival on November 6, 2021, at Plainfield East High School.

These District 202 students will participate:

Aux Sable Middle School

Band

  • Kamryn Cook, 8th grade, percussion
  • Katelyn Cook, 8th grade, French horn

Choir

  •  Mila Aloisio, 8th grade, soprano

Heritage Grove Middle School

Band

  • Amber Bills, 8th grade, flute
  • Kyle Zumstein , 8th grade, baritone saxophone

Choir

  • Abhigna Janamanchi, 7th grade, soprano       

Indian Trail Middle School

  • Joshua Matl, 8th grade, baritone
  • Ella Ruland, 7th grade, alto

Ira Jones Middle School

Band

  • Chloe Vasilakis, 8th grade, flute

John F. Kennedy Middle School
